Johnson & Johnson begins testing its COVID-19 vaccine in children as young as 12

The trial expansion will first test J&J's shot in teens aged 16 to 17. If the vaccine appears to be safe in this group, the trial will be 'stepped down' to kids ages 12 to 15, the firm announced Friday.
