Giant bacteria FIVE THOUSAND times bigger than normal are discovered in a mangrove swamp

The 'giant' species, called Thiomargarita magnifica, was discovered on sunken leaves in the waters of a mangrove swamp in Guadeloupe, Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean.
